FUBAR! Water all over!
Ok, so I finished a load of wash hours ago. I'm downstairs, getting my lunch put together, and I hear what sounds like water spraying. I though for a second it was my neighbor watering outside, but...

I've used every large bath towel I had. I've got soaking wet rugs, matted with cat litter too. Yuck! I've rinsed 2 in the bath tub, and took outside to dry. Until I can get more dry towels, I'll have...

I feel for you Kiddo. This happened once to me. It took every towel I had in the house to soak up the two inches of water. What a mess! No permanent damage though. Hope everything will be ok for you.

Well, it could have been worse, I know. It could have happened AFTER I left for work. At least tomorrow, I'll have a nice clean room, well, until the cats mess it up again!

I picked up a new stainless steel hose from Home Depot. It has a shutoff valve right near the spigot end, which will elimate this from ever happening again. Plus, it sure beats that old black rubber...

Glenn Haege AKA America's Master Handyman says you should replace your washer hoses every five years. Kiddo-are you fixing the hose yourself? How hard is it?
View ArticleRe: FUBAR! Water all over!
Not hard at all. You just unscrew the connectors, using a wrench or pliers. I've got the floor now washed, and dummy me, I only bought 1 hose, so going back to Home Depot to buy another hose, and get...

What does "FUBAR" mean? Kiddo, Be careful of mold. It can be a major issue with insurance when you sell the place.

Fubar is being polite, vs saying F*CK. We know Blonde doesn't like swearing here.

I have recently bought a setup that is a double walled hose. I has a outside plastic pipe that drains into the washer drain if the water hose burst. The standard black rubber hose (the cheapest)...

I confess! These hoses were from 1989! Egads! When I finally got the cold w/hose off the machine, I could see cracks in that area too.
